英国陶瓷研究协会（British Ceramic Research Association，简称BCRA）成立于1948年4月，历史悠久，是由1920 年成立的英国耐火材料研究协会和1937 年成立的英国陶器研究协会合并而成。BCRA是目前世界上较大的陶瓷技术研究组织，其业务范围几乎涵盖了所有陶瓷领域（日用陶瓷、工程陶瓷、建筑卫生陶瓷、耐火材料、粗陶建筑制品（砖瓦、陶管等）、电瓷等），包括调查研究、评估、制造、试用检测，研究对象从原材料到成品及产品程序。BCRA有经验丰富的专家队伍提供深入的服务，这种从一般的产品和原材料的检测到协助开发新产品、改进或引进工艺技术的专业化服务，对制造工业具有十分重要的意义。

BCRA提供的陶瓷标准颜色板是业界常用的颜色标准，用于标定光谱分光式色度计，包括半球光路测试条件和 d/d 测试条件，平时被叫做BCRA陶瓷标准色板。

BCRA Series II色板的尺寸：5cm×5cm，共包括14块板：
